2. In the upper right corner, please click the gear icon, then click Internet Options .

4. In the proxy server section, please uncheck Use a proxy server for your LAN .

Note: You may tick the Automatically detect settings
section .

2. Temporarily Disable Antivirus

This problem might be caused by interference from the antivirus software.

To find out if this problem occurs due to an antivirus, please temporarily disable your antivirus.

To disable antivirus, please see the antivirus documentation that you are using, each antivirus has a different method.

If this fixes the problem and you are able to browse again, then contact the vendor of the antivirus software you are using and ask them for advice on this issue, or you can use a different antivirus.

While your antivirus is disabled be careful when you visit sites on the internet, the emails you open, and the files you download.

3. Set DNS Configuration

If you are having problems with an internet connection that doesn’t want to connect to the internet even though it says or the status is connected, then make sure the DNS configuration on your laptop is correct.
Please follow the steps below:

1. Open Control Panel .
2. Then click Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings .
3. Then right-click on Local Arena Network (if you are using Wi-Fi please right-click on Wi-Fi ) > then click Properties .

4. Then click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) > then click Properties .

5. Then select Obtain DNS server address automatically .

Note:
In step 5 you can select Use the following DNS server addresses by filling in Preferred DNS server: 8.8.8.8 and Alternate DNS server: 8.8.4.4 this is Google’s DNS.

4. Reset Winsocks

This can also be the reason you can’t connect to the internet, please do a winsock reset using CMD ( Command Prompt ).
Please follow the steps below:
1. Click start , then type CMD .
2. Then right-click on CMD and click Run as administrator  then click Yes (if a pop-up appears).
3. Then type the command ” netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt ” (without the quotes) then press the enter key .

4. Then type the command ” netsh winsock reset ” (without the quotes) then press the enter key .
5. Please restart your laptop.

5. Flush DNS

Flush DNS is a method to reset the DNS cache that is being used to adjust information from changes that occur in a domain, nameserver, DNS with new data.

To flush DNS, the method is quite easy, you only need to use the command prompt as before.

1. Open CMD (Run as administrator).
2. Type the command ” ipconfig /flushdns ” (without the quotes) then press the enter key .
3. Please restart your computer or laptop.
