How to Create a Telegram Channel – Before we start creating a telegram channel, we must first know what a telegram channel is and know the difference between it and a telegram group? Channel telegram is a feature used to send messages in one direction to members who follow the channel. Unlike the telegram group where group members can interact/send messages to each other, in a channel only the admin has the right to send messages.
But recently the Telegram application has been updated so that it allows us to activate comments on a post on the Telegram channel. We can also delete the telegram channel that we have created at any time if we want it. How to Create a Telegram Channel
- Open the telegram application on the cellphone.
- Tap the blue pencil icon in the lower right corner of the screen.
- Select New Channel , then we will be taken to a display to create a telegram channel description.
- Fill in our channel name in the Channel name column .
- Write a description of our channel in the Description column .
- Tap the photo/image icon next to our channel name column to enter the channel profile picture.
- Tap the checkmark in the upper right corner of the screen to go to the next step.
- Select the type of channel we want, it can be Public Channel or Private channel .
- Create our channel link by filling in the name of the link we want in the Public link section .
- Tap the checkmark to go to the next step.
- Add channel members if you want to enter new channel members (subscribers) by selecting the names in the telegram contact.
- If you have tap the arrow in the left corner, then we will be taken to the new channel view.
If we choose the Public channel , the channel we create will appear in the search field and is open to people who want to join. Meanwhile , private channels are channels that are not for the public, so only people who get an invitation link to enter the channel can join.

How to Enable Comments on Telegram Channels
- Open the Telegram application.
- Open the channel we have created.
- Tap the channel name at the top of the screen to open the channel description.
- Tap the pencil mark in the upper right corner of the screen to enter the edit view.
- Tap the Discussion menu section.
- Select Create New Group if we want to create a new group for comments.
- Enter the name of our group as you wish.
- Tap the checkmark in the lower right corner of the screen to start enabling comments on each post later.
All we have to do is tap the ‘Send Comment’ button which is located below the channel post to send our comments.
How to Delete Telegram Channels
- Open the Telegram application.
- Go to the channel that we want to delete.
- Tap the channel name at the top of the screen.
- Tap the pencil icon in the top-right corner of the screen to open settings.
- Select Delete Channel which is located below itself with red writing.
- Check Delete for all subscribers if a confirmation message appears to delete our channel.
- Select DELETE CHANNEL to start deleting the channel.
As soon as we delete the channel a countdown will appear for 5 seconds. There we will see an UNDO menu which we can tap if we discourage deleting our channel.
Creating a new channel on Telegram is not as difficult as we imagine, or you could say it’s as easy as creating a group on Telegram. The good news is that members can add comments to channel posts. Unlike the previous telegram channel where there was no interaction between members/it was still one-way.
